Sulfated ash adheres to the elements of the DPF which leads to the increased fuel consumption and reduced engine power. ACEA C3 standard requires oils with highly stable oil film and low hazardous emissions of high-power engines. MOTUL Power LCV Euro+ 5W-40 has a synthetic base and reduced content of sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (SAPS) which forms a very resistant oil film in the engine and ensures compatibility with exhaust gas after-treatment systems. MOTUL Power LCV Euro+ 5W-40 has high lubricating, anti-wear properties and is resistant to high temperatures which reduces oil burnout. ACEA C3 oils enable to extend the oil change interval defined by the on-board control system. The MB 229.51 specification restricts the content of sulfated ash, phosphorus, sulfur (SAPS) to ensure the compatibility with the Mercedes exhaust gas after-treatment system. MB 229.51 specification covers some MERCEDES gasoline engines and all MERCEDES diesel engines equipped or not equipped with the DPF. Renault Group has developed RN0710 and RN0700 standards for motor oils with increased requirements to compatibility with exhaust gas after-treatment systems. Renault RN0700 standard covers all naturally aspirated gasoline engines (except Renault Sport) from Renault Group (Renault, Dacia, Samsung). RN0700 standard covers all RENAULT diesel autos equipped with 1.5 DCi engines without a DPF having power less than 100 h.p. and the change interval 20 000 km or 1 year. Renault RN0710 standard covers all turbocharged gasoline engines, including Renault Sport, and diesel engines without a DPF from Renault Group (Renault, Dacia, Samsung). RN0710 standard does not cover RENAULT diesel autos equipped with 1.5 DCi engines without a DPF having power less than 100 h.p. and the change interval 20 000 km or 1 year, which require the oils meeting RN0700. The oils meeting RN0710, not RN0720 should be used for 2.2 DCi engines with a DPF. VW 502 00 and VW 505 01 specifications require excellent detergent and dispersive properties, highly resistant oil film and stable viscosity in the presence of soot in order to ensure compatibility with most gasoline and diesel engines. If VW engine is fitted with a pump-injector, check the auto operation manual before using the oil. Compliance with FIAT 9.55535-S2 requirements means meeting of ACEA C3 standard for SAE 5W-40 viscosity grade to ensure reliable lubrication of all FIAT, Alfa-Romeo, and LANCIA gasoline engines produced after July 2007.
